Hello everyone,

I was wondering if I could speak to shop owners, specifically restaurateurs. I have an idea for a fundraiser for the Welcome Center.

Also, if anyone is interested in volunteering at the center you'd be very [she pauses, laughing softly at the unintentional word play] welcome. I can tell you all about how you can help new arrivals.

I know there have been a lot of strange things going on lately, [or at least less expected than curses] but I think it's important to keep up with our day-to-day lives here too. Well, thank you for listening.

I'm offering to help out with both. It wouldn't be fitting for a princess to be seen without her knight at either.

I suppose that's true. [Smiles]

I'd like you to help with security at the welcome center. I don't want to make it seem like it's under guard exactly, but I'd like it to be a safe place for new arrivals and volunteers.

And at the fundraiser, I'm not sure yet. I may need you to help set up some of the games once we know what those will be.

Would that be all right? [Trying not to give her... Suzaku orders.]

Of course.

[Suzaku doesn't seem to mind being given orders at all.]

Are you in your room right now?

I'm in the living room watering the plants. Tumbles is finding it very interesting.

[Decides to answer in person. A few minutes later and he's in the apartment. Spots Tumbles who looks like he's about ready to knock some of the water over, and claps his hands together to distract him. Tumbles turns around and runs over to him.]

Planning multiple events and watering plants, when was the last time you took an evening off?

[Tumbles goes running to Suzaku and Euphie giggles.] For a moment I thought you were giving me applause, and watering plants really isn't very hard. [There are several plants though. This happens when you date two florists.]

[Walks over to where she is with Tumbles in tow. Kneels down on one knee so he can look at the plant and pet Tumbles.]

But planning an event and running an organization does.

That's why I'm asking for help. You aren't worried about me, are you? [She thinks he's so cute with Tumbles.]

[The two do make a cute duo, but he still misses Arthur, sob. He needs to make a trade with the deities some day soon.]

You do take on a lot of responsibilities. I know that you can handle them but I would worry less if you took a break.

[Stands up and reaches to gently take the water cannister from her.]

I'd like to take you out somewhere this evening.

[She allows him to have the canister and then smiles at the invitation.]

Well, I wouldn't want you to worry. [Though her smile might indicate she's more eager than that.] So, I'd like that very much.

I can already feel the worry start to fade away.

[Smiles at her.]

I'll go shower and get changed and then we can head out into The City.

All right. [Might have the tiniest blush because she very innocently thought of Suzaku in the shower.] I can change too. Where did you have in mind or is it a surprise?

[Can't blame the girl, his military training has served him well in the physique department.]

It's a surprise and it might still be a work in process.

[Chuckles before he pats Tumbles on the head one last time and then heads towards the shower.]

So, a surprise to both of us then? [She smiles and then looks down at her clothes wondering what she should wear! Off to her room!]

[After he finishes his shower, he heads into his room to get changed. Fortunately, unlike his friends (Gino and Lelouch), his dress style is more tame. Opts for a light blue military styled dress shirt, sandals and a pair of grey shorts, now that the weather is warming up. Add a splash of cologne and a comb through his hair and he's good to go. Returns to the living room to see if she's ready to go.]

Euphie?

[The door to her room opens when she hears him call her name and she comes out in a new, yellow sundress and sandals.] Do I look all right for whatever we might do?

You look perfect no matter what we end up doing.

[Feels a couple of extra beats in his heart. Now that it looks like they are ready to go, offers his arm up to her.]

You always say things like that. [You're going to make her blush!

She takes the offered arm readily.]

That's because it's the truth.

[Wouldn't mind if she does, since he thinks she looks pretty adorable when she does.

Hooks his arm with hers and off they go.]

I think this is the first time we've headed out into the City without a real agenda.

You might be right. Things have been a little hectic lately. [And some nights it felt nicer to stay in together.]

I think I know what I want to do now, but if you'd like to do something different or if there's anywhere you'd like to go, please don't hesitate to let me know.

I'd like to see where you'll take me.

There's a movie theater here that I've been told plays movies from all different eras and worlds. I was thinking we could go there, then go for a walk and ice cream after wards.

[There's nothing spectacular about what he has planned, but it was all of those usual things that people take for granted, that he missed. There were times when he was all by himself, he'd think about what it would have been like if they had been able to go to school together. All of the summer and sports festivals they'd missed out on, study dates and holding hands in the hallway. Sometimes it's the small, missed opportunities you miss more than anything.]

It sounds perfect, Suzaku. [It really did. Just spending time with him like this. Even in their world before...before everything she never thought they could really be like this. It took a world full of deities and curses and the impossible to give her something this normal.]

Just perfect. [He clearly needs a kiss on the cheek before they leave.]

[It's in moments like these, that's he really aware of just how much he loves her. Raises a hand to her face, and after she's done kissing him on the cheek, he kisses her on the lips.

It's a soft and brief kiss, but meaningful all the same. Smiles at her before he loops his arm around hers. Off they go!]
