I was shopping today and found something fun. Who wants to join me in playing frisbee? [She holds up a blue disc and her not-so-little puppy barks excitedly. She giggles in response.] Other than Tumbles I mean.

Oh! And for anyone who doesn't know, my brother, Lelouch is back! [Which, yes, accounts for some of this cheerfulness.]

[A boy with shark teeth strolls into the park leisurely and approaches another pink-haired girl of the City. Slowly, he raises a hand in greeting.]

[My what sharp teeth you have...] Hello, Soul. [She smiles. See? Much smoother this time. Just not even thinking of the Eater part despite the teeth.]

This is Tumbles. [Tumbles trips over his paws a little on his way over to inspect the boy.]

Hey. [He watches the dog and bends down, holding up a hand for it to sniff.]

Can he catch a frisbee in his mouth?

[Oh, and he is sniffing all right! And now he is ready for all of the petting. Go ahead. You know you want to.]

He can some of the time. I think part of the trouble is the way I throw. [And, well, he isn't named Tumbles for nothing.]

Sure. Ready? [She doesn't want to throw if you are distracted. She already hit one person accidentally!]

Here you go. [She gives the frisbee an easy toss to him. Not exactly climatic.]

[Soul hops a few steps back and catches it with a hand. His lips flatten as he tries to remember how she threw it.]

Throw seems good enough. Don't see a problem with it. Here. [He tosses it back toward her.]

[He shuffles a bit to the right and catches it in one hand. With another throw, he continues the conversation.]

'Bout a month and a half. Got here in April. You?

[She keeps her eye on it but it bounces off her hand rather than her catching it smoothly, so she walks after it to pick it up and throw again.] It hasn't quite been a year and a half for me yet.

[She smiles a little.] I remember arriving and hearing people lists time in years and thinking it sounded so long.

[Not that he was showing off, but he catches it backhanded before tossing it again.] Still, that's a pretty long time for anyone.

Oh! That was very impressive! [Noticing the catch.] Can you show me how to do that?

Yeah. One guy I know's been here for four years.

[He blinks, raising a brow.] Yeah, you just gotta keep your eye on the frisbee and hold out your arm like this. [He twists his body so that the back of his arm is visible and pretends to catch an invisible frisbee.]

Toss it over, and I'll let you try.

I think it's been about that long for my employer. Maybe even longer. [She throws it back and practices his stances a little.]

Kinda makes you wonder how long this City's been here. [When he has her attention again, he gives it a light throw so she has time to adjust her stance.]
