[She smiles with a little confusion, but looks back at the device.] Ah, sorry. What we wanted to announce is that we'll be throwing a beach party, and everyone is welcome! It will be the first uncursed Saturday, so hopefully in just a few days. We'll have games and activities, but of course you can just come and enjoy the beach too! [She looks off screen.] Oh, what else did we talk about?

It'll be a pot luck, so bring whatever food you feel like. Extra umbrellas and drinks would probably be great. [A moment's thoughtful pause.] Right. Anyone who wants ot volunteer as a lifeguard for a few hours during the party would be great. If you have the qualifications you can talk to me. Was that it?

Mm, I think so! Let us know if you want to volunteer anything or have any questions. We hope to have a big turn out!

If it were that close to Terra, our race would have been destroyed without a second thought. We are on the fringe of human owned space.

Please keep in mind that what I am about to say does not reflect my current beliefs.

Unless the situation is dire, where I am from, humans actively attack and kill all non-human life forms. It is part of their religion to systematically commit genocide. To get the humans I was combating with to agree to a peace treaty with our force, I had to destroy half of the battlecruiser and then take the Admiral hostage. Even then, he preferred that I kill him as opposed to even thinking about a cease fire.

If it were not the interference of the Space Marine captain and an outside threat, I would have had to kill him.

It does not. We Tau do not have "good" and "evil". Simply levels of understanding. Some humans understand the tau'va or Greater Good. Stories have them fighting along side us in many places.

The humans forcibly took an Aun...Ethereal from one of our planets and wiped out the colony. He is equivalent to one of your leaders. It was my task to rescue him.

I do not know. When I found him, they were torturing him but it would be obvious to even the humans that the Aun would not have any information to share.
