[Euphie is very aware she hasn't addressed the network as a whole since she was last cursed. Cursed to relieve the geass. She'd said horrible things, but she could be thankful she'd only said them and not managed to do them before being sedated. Still, it takes her longer than usual to find her voice once turning on the communicator.]

Hello, everyone who just arrived. The welcome center is located near the fountain for anyone who needs help with anything. Your stay should be brief, but I'm sure it is still very unsettling, so we'd like to help.

And on a personal note I would love to see my family if any of you are here. I'd also love to see anyone who has left. Allen? Sam? Setsuna?

Of course. You're in The City. It's an odd, isolated place where people from many different worlds and times appear without warning. There isn't a way to choose to leave, but if you just arrived then there is a very good chance you will be sent back to your home by tomorrow as strange as that sounds.

[He's silent as he thinks over everything he hears. The City? An idiotic name, but more importantly, it was unfamiliar. Different worlds and times? Also idiotic, but he couldn't care less about it even if it was true. But no way to leave? That is something he cannot accept.

His irritation is quite evident in his voice.]

So are you telling me to simply wait and hope [hah] that I am... returned home?

Well... Yes, but in this case I have experience with this sort o thing. It really should work.

[At that answer, Jin really, really wants to blow up and simply lash out at her ("useless, pathetic, trash") but with a sharp inhale, he manages to keep himself from actually doing so. After all, he's stuck in a foreign place with no way of tracking down where his brother was and he needs all the information he can get.

What sort of experience are you talking about?

I've been in The City for almost two years now. Every few months we have days where large groups of people arrive and they only stay one or two days before disappearing again. By now I've seen this happen quite a bit. It seems more rare that someone stays afterward. [But she has seen that happen too.]

Two years? [Oh... he really didn't mean to blurt that out. But really, that someone could be stuck in this place for two years... either this girl didn't try very hard to escape or- No, it can't be anything else, surely. If there was an entrance, there was most definately an exit.]

Rare... but not impossible? [To just sit and be optimistic about the situation really was not in Jin's personality.]

Some people have been here more than twice that long, but it really is very likely you won't stay. I don't mean to worry you.

And you mean to say that in four years no one has discovered any sort of exit to this place. [Wow, people here must be really idiotic, incompetent or both. Just hearing this really makes him want to flip a table or do something equally drastic.

But he manages to (barely) hold back his temper because being aggressive in public would start all sorts of complications he doesn't want to deal with... and technically this girl didn't actually do anything wrong.]

[Then he turns to leave without even bothering with a word of thanks or anything. Will you let this stand, Euphie?]

People have tried. There are... ah... where are you going?

[He stops to give her a look that probably says something along the lines of, "Are you an idiot?" before he even bothers to answer.]

I'm leaving. [Because as far as he was concerned, the conversation was over. He wasn't really interested in what sort of excuses she would give for being unable to escape and continuing this topic would only keep reminding him of how he's stuck in this city. That and he's just that determined to still find a way out because obviously everyone couldn't because they just sucked, right???

[He does let her finish talking before turns and walks away. Jin doesn't intend on coming back unless there are extenuating circumstances ~~like another fourth wall day~~.
