stay safe. Maybe store bottles of water, down at the Welcome Center? If I can help it there are gonna be a lot of thirsty people getting back here soon

I will. Please tell them they can get anything they need at the welcome center. I'll have it ready. [And hopefully the glass can withstand the traffic!]

[Another couple of moments has him obligingly knocking on the door.]

[She opens the door and looks up at him.] I just wanted to... [Oh, who needs words? She steps in closer and goes for the lips.]

[He wasn't expecting that-- well, maybe half expecting that-- but he leans in without hesitation, snaking an arm around her waist and leaning her back against the door.]

[He can't heroically stride back into danger without a good luck kiss! Which means it better be a good kiss! Something worth coming back to maybe...]

[Tommy's pretty confident in his abilities not to get eaten by sandworms, but that doesn't mean he's super thrilled about baiting them. And well, who knows when he'll be back? Might as well give her something to remember him by.]

[She is a big fan of having nice memories to keep. Every good one pushes every bad one back just a little.]

[He's not in a hurry to break away, but all good things come to an end, so eventually he does pull back.]

I am coming back.

[It's a promise.]

[She nods.] You'll be in trouble if you don't. [She smiles softly at him. Also a promise. But mostly just come back.]

[He smiles back, just a little bit.]

Right.

You should go. [Though she did manage to take his hand.]

Yeah.

[For the record, Tommy Shepherd doesn't hold hands. This is just, you know, a circumstantial thing.]

[Princesses get what they want. She squeezes his hand and lets go.] I'll see you [and raise you a] soon.

[Tommy just nods, and steps back out of her doorway.]
