[Euphie turns on the video, revealing herself standing outside near the apartments with a bag over her head. She giggles a little, which contrasts with the sad face carved into the bag itself. She's just following out a dare Hikaru had given her.]

Hi, everyone, I just wanted to clarify that I was under the curse to be a secret admirer a couple of days ago. I'm very sorry for any confusion or embarrassment that I might have caused. Zero, you were incredibly nice about it. Thank you so much, and I hope you didn't actually eat any of those horrible muffins. I don't know how I convinced myself they were a good idea!

Oh, and this is Euphemia for anyone who doesn't recognize me like this. [Giggles again.]

That's nice. Does he have little friends too?

[ Flynn shakes his head, smiling gently. ]

I couldn't possibly not come...

[ And he enters the apartment only after the invitation. He's slightly, very slightly, conscious now about imposing... but Lady Euphemia's well-being is top-most in his mind at the moment. ]

I made a little too much noise I think.

[She leads him over to the couch in the living room. Lelouch isn't home. She's not really sure when he might return.] I was afraid to tell you.

Oh, yeah he does have one.

Really? Just one?

[ He sits on the couch and waits for Euphemia to take a seat as well before responding to her statement. ]

... I understand. [ he says simply at first because, maybe- maybe her fears weren't unfounded, but Flynn knows that he couldn't have reacted otherwise now... not when he knew Euphemia was just like Lady Estellise; a kind-hearted being... someone who couldn't be faulted for the things she claimed was her own fault. ]

But I'm glad that you told me.

Yeah-- just one. I'm kind of an unique case having as many as I do.

[She nods a little and then speaks softly.] I am to.

I don't... I don't want to lie to people, but it's hard to talk about.

[ Flynn gives Euphemia a reassuring look. ]

And I'll be here regardless of whether or not you wish to talk about it.

[ He's curious, of course, he can't deny that but... these things... with Euphemia, it's definitely different. If this was Yuri in front of him, he knows he can pry for the truth without fear. Yuri would do the same for him if he were in the same state... ]

What would you like to know? [She isn't sure where to start. Questions might be easier.]

Is his a girl too or do boys get boy...guardians? [Was that what they were called?]

[ Flynn pauses to think here and then... slowly.. ]

The beginning, Lady Euphemia. How it happened and why you spoke of something like a curse.

No, Yoru isn't a girl. Guardian characters are are a part of us, so they'd be the same gender as the owner.

I guess that's probably why he caught you then.

[She takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. She can't tell him it was Lelouch, but she can explain what happened.]

I was trying to establish the Special Administrative Zone of Japan. It was going to be a place where Japanese people...anyone really, could live safely and with rights and freedoms. I had invited a terrorist to the event in hopes of offering him and his people safe passage into the zone. I took a meeting with him in private and I convinced him to work with me and not against me.

[Sad smile] I was so happy.

And then I questioned something he'd said earlier. So, he explained that he had a special ability. [She looks up at Flynn] You showed me how you have magic. In my world that isn't common. I didn't even think it was possible. But, this person... If he gives you an order there's no way to resist it, and he was giving me an example.

[She looks away again and her voice breaks. The rest is just a whisper really.] It was an accident. He didn't mean for it to affect me. He didn't want me to... But he said, [A tear skims down her cheek] kill all the Japanese.

Yes. I should have been more careful. He was very nice about the whole thing though. Do you live together since you're brothers?

[ Flynn's fists clench at that admission, and, for a moment, he is caught in the grip of indecision: to believe all that Euphemia had said without a doubt, or to assume that there was more and that this princess had been taken advantage of. In such a way that she couldn't possibly... comprehend that she'd been wronged... that... somehow, the fate of Euphemia echoed that of Lady Estellise's... only... only that her fate had ended in tragedy. ]

[ He opens his mouth... and closes it again and finally settles for reaching out to wipe that tear from her face. No, it wouldn't be his position to judge now. He would worry about that later. For now, Flynn Scifo's duty was to Lady Euphemia: he must ease her fears. ]

It wasn't your fault.

[ If this were Yuri, he knew, he'd blame his friend and... yell at him for being so stupid! He'd be so angry! And yet, he could only sit by Euphemia's side in silence after that statement. No, he rationalized himself, he knew nothing of the situation... barely knew Lady Euphemia... he couldn't possibly-- ]

You were afraid of people judging for that truth... but I don't think you're to blame at all.

[ If only he knew. Flynn could only helplessly grasp the truth of this situation feebly, and it irritated him to be so... unable to do anything. ]

I brought them all together. They were there because of me. And when I gave the order. They obeyed... Even an order like...like that. One of my sister's knights tried to stop me. And I shot him to. I shot... [Closes her eyes, but the tears come again. How many times would she cry for this?] There were so many people there.

It wasn't you, Lady Euphemia!

[ he raises his voice there. ]

[ He repeats in a softer tone when he realizes his error. ]
