[Someone has been wanting to keep herself distracted after a particularly difficult curse followed by her knight leaving the city.]

Hello everyone, I've been wondering if anyone knows of any available jobs I might be suited for. I don't really have any practical work experience. I don't think being a princess and a sub-viceroy count. But I think I take direction well, and I could learn.

How do you do?

Well, then there's an option for you, though it may not quite be what you had in mind. And I shouldn't think cooking would be a problem, since we have a great many things which are brought in from other bakeries in the City.

But, really, if you're concerned, then I should tell you that I'm an earl myself and I should think a princess and a viceroy should certainly be able to do more than I.

I'm very glad to hear it.

It shouldn't matter that you haven't seen it. If you've an interest, I suspect I could find a position there for you.

I am--the Earl of Hargreaves, to be more precise. It's a pleasure to meet you. I suppose the different ranks have their different roles.

I don't know it I ought to suggest a position as a waitress to a princess, but the position is open. We're also perpetually in need of someone to brew the tea, especially in the afternoons around teatime since the demand is so high.

Then I ought to give you my usual name too: Cain Hargreaves, but please call me Cain.

If you're like, we would certainly be glad to have you. It's not a difficult job, I don't think. And, since you said you could learn, you'll pick it up very soon.

There is a uniform yes, though I hope you won't find it too objectionable to wear it. I think it looks a bit like a parlour maid's dress, myself, though I didn't choose the look of the uniforms.

We'll have to make sure you learn your way around the cafe in between the curses, so any time that you'd like to come in that there isn't a curse would suit me. I'm there as often as I can be, though perhaps not as often as some would like. If today suits you, I will certainly be there today.

Miss Uta Yumeno, Miss Fuu Hououji, and Miss Konata Izumi all work there as well, if you're acquainted with any of them.

Even better--that makes matters even simpler for all of us.

Excellent. I think Konata will be showing you around if you come by this afternoon.

I have no doubt that you'll do very well.

Not at all. I know it can take quite some time to really feel adjusted to the City.

Three years, as of the third of this month.

Have you been here very long? It's a shame we've not spoken before if you have.

That's still a fair amount of time, though.

Well, you and I have certainly met now, and I'm quite glad for it.
