I've been wondering that too. I don't know. I have so many wonderful friends, but I don't know who would give up something like that for me.

...Or maybe it's more that so many of them might.

Not at first, he surprised me with it and just gave me his life for a while. And then I gave it back, and then eventually we set up a deal so it switched on its own. And then... I broke the deal without telling him, because I had been given a way to get my life back without having to trade. So we've both surprised each other with it, at different times.

Someone gave it to me, as a gift. The person they got it from got it from the Deities, they offered it as-- as a prize for doing something they couldn't do by themselves.

Well, I'm not sure they needed it but. There was this bear? And it got loose, from wherever they had it I guess, and it ran around interrupting people and making people interrupt each other, and they offered a reward if anyone managed to catch it.

It's just they are all so kind and selfless.

[Everyone does seem all right... Does that mean it's someone who hasn't spoken? ...Zuko knows and he hasn't said anything yet. But they only met recently. Would he...?]

I am happy. I hope whoever it is doesn't think I'm not grateful. This sort of gift is... Well, I don't have the words for it.
