[The audio starts broadcasting the gentle sounds of the outdoors long before she speaks. Her voice is a little raw. She's been crying, but she's trying not to let it sound.]

Hello.

[Another long pause.]

I'm sorry I'm not contacting everyone individually. I'm not sure who they know well. ...Knew.

[There's another pause, but this time when she returns her voice is a little shakier. All the practice and control in the world can't take the pain out of these words.]

My brother, Lelouch, and sister, Nunnally, have left the City.

[It sounds like she might say more, but after a moment the audio shuts off.]

(OOC: Forward dated to late morning. Euphie is in Xanadu curled up behind a tree if anyone wants to action at her.)

I'm in Xanadu. [And here are some more descriptive descriptors that don't just end in "by a tree."]

Okay, got it. I'm already on my way. [And she's off! There will be a short mage zooming over to her tree very soon.]

[She lifts her head when she hears someone approaching.] Rita. Over here. [She wipes her cheek, but it's still obvious she's been crying.]

[She hurries up to Euphie, concern obvious.] Hey...

[Rita doesn't ask if she's all right. Instead, she comes right up and sits down next to her.]

[She looks over at her new companion and gives her a sad sort of smile.] Hi.

[She thinks she'd rather see Euphie smiling when she's happy.] So...they left yesterday?

[She nods.] They didn't come home and they didn't answer when I called.

[Softly] I checked the hall this morning.

...I'm sorry they had to leave you, Euphie. [She can't really offer reassurances that it'll be all right, so reaches up and tentatively puts a hand on Euphie's shoulder.]

I just... I hope they are all right. [Maybe somehow things won't be the way they said. She leans in a little toward Rita.]

Y-yeah, me too. [For Euphie's sake. Rita squeezes her shoulder gently.]

And maybe they'll come back soon. [Fresh tears build in her eyes.]

Maybe. Plenty of other people come back, so...there's a good possibility. [Noticing this, Rita scoots a little closer and slowly moves that arm around Euphie in a half-hug.]

[She'll gladly accept all percentages of hugs.]

[She could definitely use them. Even Rita knows hugs make things a little better.]

[That's because Rita is a smart girl! Softly.] Thank you for coming.

[And she hugs her a little tighter.] Of course...Y-you know you're still not alone, right?

[She nods slowly.] I know. And Yuri promised... [He promised he'd stay as long as she did. She knows he can't keep a promise like that, but it makes her feel better right now somehow. Like there is someone who won't leave for sure.]

[Although a little curious, Rita doesn't ask about the promise. Yuri just a way of encouraging people somehow.] He promised? If it's that guy, he'll keep it any way he can. [And now she she'll offer Euphie a gentle smile, too.]

I think so too. [She smiles a little. It's not quite so sad, but the pain is still there.]

[Rita's relieved to see it's not so bad. She knows it won't go away that easily, but they can at least help her through it.

So she puts a very light pressure on Euphie's other shoulder--just enough to let her know she can lean on Rita if she wants.] If...if there's anything you need, just let us know, all right?

[She nods and hugs the other girl more fully.] I'm glad you're all here. [Meaning the people from her world. They all mean a lot to her.]

And I'm glad you met us in the first place.
