[The audio starts broadcasting the gentle sounds of the outdoors long before she speaks. Her voice is a little raw. She's been crying, but she's trying not to let it sound.]

Hello.

[Another long pause.]

I'm sorry I'm not contacting everyone individually. I'm not sure who they know well. ...Knew.

[There's another pause, but this time when she returns her voice is a little shakier. All the practice and control in the world can't take the pain out of these words.]

My brother, Lelouch, and sister, Nunnally, have left the City.

[It sounds like she might say more, but after a moment the audio shuts off.]


(OOC: Forward dated to late morning. Euphie is in Xanadu curled up behind a tree if anyone wants to action at her.)

[He just nods at first before he realizes that she can't hear a nod and he's holding onto her close and tight.]

Yeah... she was. Let's just... fill up on junk food and beer. [Both of which he brought]

[She nods too, but she's shorter, so he can feel it at least.]

[He lets go but keeps an arm around her shoulders as he leads her inside. There's that smell of newness inside with the walls recently painted and new wood floors and woodwork on the stairs.]

You don't ind sitting on the floor, right?

I don't mind. I was sitting on the ground earlier. [She stays close to Morgan, making no attempts to put distance between them.]

Before my dad died when I was little and I'd get a cold or something, yeah my mom would make chicken noodle soup but my dad always came home with cheeseburgers cause sometimes I just wouldn't eat. But he'd cut the cheeseburger into four small triangles and sit there with me while I ate it. And it always made me feel better.

[He grabs the things by the door and finds a spot on the floor to sit down.]

I brought us cheeseburgers cause they make things better.

[She smiles a soft, sad sort of smile at him.] I think it will help.

I know it will... at least momentarily until you can actually form some productive thoughts about what's going on.

[Sitting down, he gets two burgers wrapped in paper out of the bag. Then two cartons of fries and too many packets of ketchup.]

And there's a little something sweet for after this.

[He looks up at her]

Want me to cut the burger into four little triangles for you?

[She nods] Yes, please. [He did make it sound better that way.]
