I think the compulsion to show it off is maybe stranger than it being there at all. [A little somber because the only question in her mind is whether it stands for massacre or murder.]

Yeah! He's my best friend and the strongest person I know.

At least his first day here wasn't during a curse. Arriving is odd enough, but to arrive during a curse would be pretty scary.
