[Have a brightly smiling princess on your video screens, City folk.] Isn't today just a good day? After everything that's happened I really want to just get out of the apartment and have adventures. Would anyone like to join me?

And we should go out to eat! [Because someone is actually hungry for the first time in a long time.]

[He's jolted a little too, laughing along with her as he steadies himself.]

It goes smoother when it's actually runnin', right?

Anyway, anyone related to you, I'd be surprised if they weren't.

I hope so.

[Tiny blush and then a teasing smile.] I'm sure Lelouch will be happy to hear that.

Oh~? Is that yer sister?

He's my brother. We live together here.

O-oh. [Great, now some guy's probably going to punch him in the face for calling him pretty and hitting on his sister.]

[Giggles] He is very pretty.

Oh! [And just then the ferris wheel starts to move as the last people get on. She giggles again after a moment.] I can feel my heart beating faster. [It's a nice feeling.]

[It is, something he hasn't felt in a decade. He smiles at her, softer than his usual grin.] Yeah. Kind of exhilaratin', ain't it?

[She nods happily.] It is! I'm glad we came here. [Wants more of this feeling today.]

I'll make sure to do that.

[A cheeky grin]

We'll have have to make sure you have a good day every day. How's that?

[Giggles a little] Only if every day can be a good day for you too.

Hah, it's nothing. I can handle it.

I hope so. [Smiles]

...Kinda funny how different things always look from up high.

It's so beautiful. [She's looking out over everything as they reach the top before descending again. She might be a little predisposed to finding things beautiful and happy today.]

[He's thinking more of the way the old battlefield looked from up on Mt. Temza, and once that thought's made it into his mind, the feeling of his heartbeat only intensifies it. But he's not about to bring her down today, so he puts his cheerful facade back up quickly, the faltering easy to miss.]

Well, there's a lot a' beautiful things in this city.

[Smiles at him, having missed his thoughts completely.] There are. There are everywhere I think, but it's easy to get distracted by the things that aren't.

Mm... Yeah, you're right. [Maybe he doesn't pay enough attention himself; he still has a hard time thinking things are worth noticing because he still has a hard time thinking of himself as alive.]

It's the good parts that let you know it's worth it to make all the parts good.

[He's not sure if it's just the feeling of the heart beating within his chest, or-- if it's the opposite of that, if it's the fact that this girl who's no more alive than he is can still see the world as something wonderful and worth fighting for.]

You've got a real beautiful spirit, you know that?

[That surprises her a little and she blushes at the compliment.] Thank you, Raven.

[Smiles a little] What brought that on?

[He props his head against his palm, being quiet for once and just enjoying the company.]

Ah, just... [He blushes a little himself, glancing away as he rubs the back of his neck, the accent that had previously almost disappeared back in full force now that he's more conscious of it.] The way ya still see so much value in things. The potential fer somethin' good. Ya haven't let it make ya jaded like this old man.

[ All right, maybe he's not so stick in the mud srs. He sighs a bit and then smiles at Euphie. ]

[She reaches over and touches his non-neck-rubbing hand.] Are you so jaded? It doesn't seem that way.

[She smiles at him fondly.] I think I'm already excited about the desert after the meal.
