I-- well. Todd and I used to share his life, but I broke the deal and got my own back, so now neither of us is ever dead.

Do you... is there anyone here who would trade something for yours?

We switched off every week. I'd be dead when he was alive, and then the other way around.

Well, I've heard people trade memories, things like that? I don't really know... When we asked they wanted life for life, so we needed to share, but I know other people have found other ways.

They might have. Or, well. I don't know what else. I haven't done all that much asking around, on what other people had to trade.

I suppose that's true. [Doesn't really feel worthy of someone doing this for her, but... It's just so kind and touching. She wishes she could scold and hug them.] If someone did trade I hope they tell me.

Did Todd tell you before he did it?

Not at first, he surprised me with it and just gave me his life for a while. And then I gave it back, and then eventually we set up a deal so it switched on its own. And then... I broke the deal without telling him, because I had been given a way to get my life back without having to trade. So we've both surprised each other with it, at different times.

Someone gave it to me, as a gift. The person they got it from got it from the Deities, they offered it as-- as a prize for doing something they couldn't do by themselves.

Well, I'm not sure they needed it but. There was this bear? And it got loose, from wherever they had it I guess, and it ran around interrupting people and making people interrupt each other, and they offered a reward if anyone managed to catch it.
