[Euphie wakes up slowly, shifting in bed. It feels like she must just be coming out of a dream because something is definitely off. She blinks and the room starts to come into view, but nothing about it looks familiar.

Startled, she bolts upright and something is missing. First she reaches up to her hair and her eyes widen because WHERE DID IT GO!? Then she looks down and that wasn't what she went to bed wearing. Her hand touches a very, very, very flat chest.

Cue the girly shriek that isn't nearly girly enough.]

"...Reid?" Eyes still lingering a little fearfully on the gun, but she trusts Derek. "Reid. From your world?"

"Uhh... yeah." Okay now it's Derek's turn to look confused. "You. You're Reid. You got amnesia or something?"

"Derek, I'm Euphie." Moves her hand to tuck a piece of hair back. It's just...so short.

Insert the quizzical brow arch of doom as he looks at Reid like he's crazy. "What? You... you mean you've met Euphie. She's a nice girl. But what about her?"

"No... Well, yes, we did meet, but that isn't what I mean. I'm Euphie." She tugs the blanket up a little more. This boy body is unsettling and what if she has to use the bathroom!? "It must be a curse."

He isn't sure what Reid's being so insecure about. They're both guys and honestly they've seen it before on several occasions where the circumstances were pretty dire, like when Reid had to be sterilized when he was infected with a virus and Derek wouldn't leave him alone. But then he says he's Euphie, and Derek gets that it's a curse. Someone he's protective of is swapped with someone else he's protective of which makes the big brother-ness in him magnify tenfold.

"Euphie? Look... it's okay. What? I mean..." He pauses to take a breath. "It's a curse... I think."

She looks up at him with this hopeful kind of look that is really very much like a sad puppy coming from Reid's face.

"...Do you think Reid is in my body?" This thought may be even more unsettling.

"Yeah." He nods, it makes sense to him. But then he's imagining Reid in Euphie's body and a smile breaks out over his lips along with a smirk that he's very proud did not turn into a full out laugh. "Yeah, probably so."

...

"It's not funny!"

It probably was funny, but not just yet. "I'm a boy. I'm not even me as a boy..." Because then it would at least be her man parts... Okay, still weird.

"Well it's a little bit... cause you're..." He pauses and shakes his head. "There's nothing I can say here that's appropriate. So what do you need me to do?"

"Well, I guess I should...get dressed?" Blushing... "Maybe just putting other clothes on over this." Because the other way lies naked!

"Yeah that's a good idea." He point to the door and then starts out of it. Better than sitting there like it wasn't Euphie. This was so strange. Probably more so for Euphie and Reid. But still... strange. "I'll just... yeah."

"All right. I'll just be a minute. Thank you, Derek." She waits until the door is closed before she gets out of bed. Reid's body was fully dressed for bed, so there really was no need to be so shy, but it was just so strange to be in such an unfamiliar...person? place? situation?

She went over to the closet and picked out a button down shirt which she just put on over the t-shirt. She tried tugging pants up over the sweats, but it wasn't fitting correctly, so she tipped her head up as she pushed those pants down and stepped out of them before stepping into the new ones. She made fast work of fastening them while trying not to touch...anything.

Once dressed she opened the door to see if Derek was still there.

Derek waited patiently out in the hallway, trying to figure out how best to handle this situation. It was pretty awkward and wickedly amusing. But at the same time, there was nothing that could be done to change it so...

When he-she walked out into the hallway he offered a reassuring smile. "How about some breakfast." Food cured most things... usually.

"Breakfast sounds good. Thank you." She smiles at him, trying to relax. It's just one day...maybe two. It's not the worst curse she's ever had. "It's strange that the first time we're meeting in person I'm not really...in person. You'll look taller next time I guess."

That made him laugh and nod as he turned to lead her through the living room to the kitchen. "Yeah, that's true. How tall are you... really?" He smirked. "This is pretty strange."

"Five seven." She looks around a little at the beach house as she follows him.

"Very strange. I'm just glad you're here. I think this might be the most surprising curse I've ever had. At least during it. So often you don't realize what was so odd until it's over."
