[The audio starts broadcasting the gentle sounds of the outdoors long before she speaks. Her voice is a little raw. She's been crying, but she's trying not to let it sound.]

Hello.

[Another long pause.]

I'm sorry I'm not contacting everyone individually. I'm not sure who they know well. ...Knew.

[There's another pause, but this time when she returns her voice is a little shakier. All the practice and control in the world can't take the pain out of these words.]

My brother, Lelouch, and sister, Nunnally, have left the City.

[It sounds like she might say more, but after a moment the audio shuts off.]

(OOC: Forward dated to late morning. Euphie is in Xanadu curled up behind a tree if anyone wants to action at her.)

I've never been to any bar before, but it is different from what I'm used to. Do you come here often?

Nah, not often. I just like to get out sometimes, you know?

[She is enjoying her pretty, pink drink. Head tilted a little as she looks at Tommy.]

You have nice eyes. [There are goggles a lot of the time, not that she hasn't seen them before ~~on Billy~~ in bed and such.]

Being able to run away's kind of a good skill to have.

[He grins, a little sarcastically, leaning in towards her. Here, have a better look, Euph. Eyes are the one feature he and Billy have always differed in-- even before Tommy's hair went white-- and he can't help but think his look nicer.]

[But whatever seriousness was behind that comment scatters a little as he leans in. Her cheeks might warm just a little. Or was that from the drink?]

I think so. I don't always get to see them clearly.

[He reaches out to toy briefly with a strand of her hair.]

[Okay, this blushing is probably not just the drink.]

[He's not tipsy, he's just kind of a dork when he flirts.]

[That earns him a little eyebrow lift.] Did you ever meet Lelouch or Nunnally?

[He grins.] Doesn't really matter.

No. No, I think I like that about you.

[He isn't planning on changing this.]

[Two drinks later...]

[Euphie is giggling at something Tommy said which was probably not worthy of this many giggles.] You're funny.

I'm pretty awesome all around.

[And modest!]

[She giggles harder.] I knew you would say that, Tommy.

Only 'cause it's true.

It's nice you're so confident. [She reaches out to playfully mess up his very confident hair.]

[Euphie, do you know how long it takes to get his hair so perfectly careless? He mock-ducks her ruffling. But not really effectively.]

Best way to be.

I wish I could do that better. [Her hand is still in his hair, now she's gently putting it back together.]

[He catches her wrist lightly, not doing anything to stop her, just curling his fingers around it.]

It takes practice.

[She just smiles at him when he does so.] I did get better at public speaking the more I did it.

There you go. [He smiles a funny little smile back and tilts his head, a lock of white falling into his eyes. See? This kind of nonchalance takes practice.]

D'you think we should get going?

Where are we going? [Tilts her own head to match and leans forward.]
