[Euphie has the communicator in her hand, ready to relay a message to everyone when a tall, older puts his arms around her, dips her back deeply and kisses her. Her arm hangs outstretched, catching the whole thing, plus a sprig of mistletoe that was above them, on video. A moment later, they are both upright again, and he's making rushed apologies before leaving.]

I...

Uh... [What was she going to say?] I'll have to call you back, City. [She blushingly turns the device off and continues on her way.]

[ Oh, this curse. It feels sort of wrong to watch them, more so because it looked intimate than because it was a curse. It takes a minute for him to respond without showing how awkward he feels. ]

[Euphie looks momentarily dazed. Was it a curse? Her eyes flicker up and she spots the mistletoe.] Ah... Yes. Yes, it was. This one has happened before.

[Nope, staying inside. It's safe. She doesn't exactly want to be kissing random people today.]

[ The Doctor has popped into the Welcome Center. It seemed kind of, well, welcoming, and he's not going to turn down such an invitation. ]

Fantastic! Great idea to have a place like this. Oh, they've got brochures!

[ He makes a beeline for the literature and looks through them, occasionally chuckling to himself. ]

[There is some blinking on her part as she watches him entertain and inform himself. She had no idea the brochures were so...funny!]

[NOW he's paying attention to everything around him, sees the pink haired lady from the other day, and stops quite a few feet shy of her, eyes on the mistletoe somewhere between them.]

[He's far too bashful to call her by Euphie. Wait. Doesn't that make that her given name and not a family name? He's blushing a little when he realizes that. Oh well, she doesn't seem caught up in formalities.]

[Fred's just popping around for the fun of it, running into random people and making the worst first impressions ever, when he happens upon Euphie. He recognizes her, very vaguely - it's been awhile hasn't it? Is it the same person, even?]

Oi, aren't you that-?

[Well, apparently it doesn't matter whether or not it's the same bird with the Muggle weapon from what seems like ages ago, because the City decides it is not the time for talking but rather the time for snogging. A little bundle of mistletoe appears above them, and Fred stops mid-sentence to place a hand gently on her cheek and kiss her lightly for just a moment.]

[She recognizes him right away, but it takes a beat more to realize exactly what their last conversation was about. Before she can form the words to respond she feels his lips on hers and her eyes are sinking closed. It's gentle and nice. Not at all like she was that day.]

[Which is strange, really, because that day was really very terrible, wasn't it? And it almost instantly comes back to her that yes, this is the same gal, that princess that had seemed so sweet before then. As the mistletoe finally dissipates, Fred pulls back slowly and searches her face for a moment - there's none of that malice to be found - before dropping his hand and pulling back.]

...Euphemia, wasn't it?
